Contract and Assets Projects Manager
About Respect

Our mission is to create environments where residents feel safe, supported, and included, and where every interaction reflects our values of Respect, Care, Teamwork, Courage, Integrity, Innovation, and Excellence.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Contract and Assets Projects Manager to join our Property and Development Team. This is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing property-related contracts, asset management programs, and capital works projects across Respect’s portfolio. You will ensure our buildings are maintained to the highest standard, compliant with all regulations, and operating efficiently, contributing directly to the long-term sustainability and performance of our properties.
You will lead, coordinate, and monitor preventative and corrective maintenance programs, providing strategic and operational oversight across asset lifecycle planning, contract administration, and project delivery. You will also be a key point of contact for contractors, internal teams, and stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and on budget.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management: Develop, tender, negotiate, and manage property service contracts including maintenance, cleaning, security, and capital works. Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with procurement and governance frameworks.
Asset Management: Maintain and update the asset register, coordinate condition assessments and audits, and implement asset lifecycle strategies to optimise performance and extend asset life. Support budget planning for asset replacement and capital expenditure programs.
Project Management: Lead property projects from concept to completion including refurbishments, upgrades, and new developments. Manage timelines, budgets, quality, risks, and stakeholder communication. Ensure compliance with building codes, workplace health and safety, and environmental standards.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities. Provide effective communication, reporting, and updates to all relevant stakeholders.
Financial Oversight: Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Identify cost efficiencies and opportunities for continuous improvement in asset performance.
Qualifications and Experience
Tertiary qualification in Property, Project Management, Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum five years’ experience in property maintenance, project management, or construction.
Demonstrated expertise in contract management, project delivery, and asset lifecycle planning.
Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
Current Australian Driver’s Licence and relevant checks, or willingness to obtain.
Why Join Respect?
This is more than a property and project role. At Respect, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the communities we support. You will work in a collaborative, supportive environment where your expertise is valued, and your contribution directly improves the experience of older Australians. We offer opportunities for ongoing professional development, engagement with senior leadership, and the chance to contribute to exciting projects across our property portfolio.
