We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Team Leader to join our team at Lyndoch Living, Warrnambool in Victoria to provide exemplary nursing care to our residents. We have a position available on a permanent Full Time basis.

The Position:

The Clinical Team Leader is an Enrolled Nurse, who demonstrates excellence in Nursing and Aged Care practice.

The Clinical Team Leader is an important member of the clinical nursing team, who works collaboratively with the Registered Nurse and other care staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality nursing and personal care to residents.

In consultation with the Registered Nurse, the Clinical Team Leader will lead care teams, direct practice of care in response to best practice and consumer feedback, to maximise residents’ health and wellbeing and ensure a safe living environment.

The Clinical Team Leader will ensure the completion of required documentation to support compliance with policy and procedures, regulatory requirements and the Quality Standards – Aged Care and Safety.

This leadership position supports the culture of the organisation through the adoption of Lyndoch Livings values, and the Aged Care & Safety Commissions Code of Conduct.

To be considered for employment with Respect, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.

Key Responsibilities

Provide excellence in consumer care:

- Develops a culture of high-quality clinical care and ensures adherence to code of conduct and standards for Aged Care.

- Ensures safe practice and excellent resident outcomes based on best practice guidelines, Aged Care standards and relevant legislation where the consumer is at the centre of the decision making, ensuring their needs, choices, independence, dignity or identified risks are considered

Operational Leadership:

- Accountable for providing leadership and guidance to direct and indirect care staff and students, in consultation with the Nurse Unit Manager, Associate Nurse Unit Manager and Registered Nurse, which aligns with the Vision, Mission and Values of Lyndoch Living. Participate in and attend to allocated employee development through processes, including but not limited to, the appraisal process and medication process as scheduled.

Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and legislation:

- AN-ACC documentation completed and submitted to AN-ACC, within the agreed time frame.

- Attend to and monitor the entry of accurate documentation into electronic and other related systems, which include, but is not limited to funding body and Monthly Resident Review (MRR) documentation as designated.

- Adhere to the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) and relevant standards for practice.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) as an Enrolled Nurse Level 3, with a Board approved qualification in medicines administration
  • Sound communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills, including well-developed written and oral skills.
  • Demonstrate developed time management skills with prioritising delegated tasks and the ability to adhere to time frames.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to approach difficult tasks and sudden changes appropriately.
  • Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).

Desirable:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Aged Care, supported by well-developed and contemporary clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Developed leadership skills to foster team cohesion and support effective team management.
  • Strong clinical and documentation skills
