Are you experienced in aged care catering and looking to make a meaningful difference? Respect Aged Care is currently seeking Food Services Assistants to join our dedicated hospitality team on a Permanent Part Time Bases at Respect Avonlea in Nhill, Victoria.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chef/Cook, the Food Services Assistant plays a vital role in implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the Food Safety Program (FSP) while delivering high-quality food and beverages that meet our residents' individual needs and preferences.

 

Key Duties

  • Contribute to menu planning to support resident needs and preferences.
  • Prepare, serve, present, and deliver food and refreshments in line with the FSP.
  • Perform general cleaning duties as required under the FSP.
  • Assist with monitoring and recording FSP requirements, such as temperature logs and goods receipting.
  • Ensure friendly, timely delivery of meals and refreshments to residents.
  • Report any concerns relating to food and beverages to the Registered Nurse in Charge.

 

Essential Requirements

  • Completion of a Food Handling Course.
  • Current National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience in residential aged care food services.
  • Must meet Aged Care Worker Screening legislative requirements.
