We are currently looking for a Part-Time Food Service Assistant to join our team at the St Johns facility in Wangaratta, VIC. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the well-being of our residents by delivering nutritious and delicious meals in a caring and professional manner.

Position Details:

• Part-Time Position (must be available for mainly afternoon shifts)

• Flexibility to suit your work-life balance

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to residents in accordance with dietary requirements.

• Ensure food is served at the correct temperature and meets health and safety standards.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen and dining areas, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

• Assist in the delivery of meals to resident rooms or dining areas.

• Provide excellent customer service and assist residents during mealtimes as required.

• Ensure proper storage and handling of food items.

• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure the smooth operation of food service.

Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience in food service, catering, or hospitality is desirable.

• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a caring and respectful attitude toward residents.

• Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.

• A commitment to providing high-quality service to residents.

• A valid National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one).
