The Position:
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Facility Manager to lead operations at our Tongala Memorial home in Tongala, Victoria. The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational, staffing, and related matters across the home. This role ensures all professional care and support services are delivered in line with Respect’s values, policies, and procedures, and that the home operates within the approved budget, meeting accreditation standards, compliance requirements, and reporting obligations.

The successful candidate will be well supported by Respect’s centralised corporate services team, including specialists in clinical care, quality, finance, people and culture, procurement, maintenance, and catering.

Requirements:

  • A recognised Bachelor Degree in Nursing (Registered Nurse).
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • At least three years’ leadership experience in residential aged care.
  • Solid understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards, Specified Care and Service Principles of the Aged Care Act, documentation standards, residents’ rights, Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI), and other relevant legislation, regulations, and codes of practice.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and skills aligned with contemporary practice.
  • Current National Police Certificate (or ability to obtain).
  • Previous experience in a nursing management role.

Please note: All candidates must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to be eligible for employment in the aged care sector.
