Are you a seasoned procurement professional with a strong background in healthcare or aged care? We’re looking for a Procurement Officer to join our team at Respect. This full-time role is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly organised, compliance-focused, and passionate about delivering high-quality outcomes through effective procurement.

About the Role:
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Procurement Officer plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the Procurement team, supporting contract management, supplier onboarding, purchasing, and compliance activities. You’ll be working in a dynamic environment with the opportunity to contribute to ongoing improvements and initiatives across our aged care services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain supplier contracts and variations
  • Manage contract databases and support major tender processes
  • Liaise with and evaluate suppliers, particularly in medical and allied health areas
  • Ensure compliance with Modern Slavery legislation and Aged Care standards
  • Oversee the Master Supplier Register and vendor documentation
  • Respond to internal and external procurement queries
  • Coordinate supplier onboarding and maintain the Approved Supplier Lists
  • Assist with procurement reporting, SOP development, and continuous improvement
  • Support onboarding of new aged care sites and rollout of preferred supplier systems
  • Provide leave coverage for other procurement team members as needed
  • Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders
  • Source new suppliers and products in consultation with internal stakeholders
  • Monitor budgets and communicate pricing or product issues
  • Provide support to staff regarding orders, warranties, and purchasing queries

What We Are Looking For:

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in healthcare or aged care
  • Proven ability to manage medical/allied health vendors, equipment procurement, and contract administration
  • Deep understanding of compliance requirements under Aged Care and Modern Slavery legislation
  • Strong supplier relationship and time management skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • A collaborative approach and a willingness to support business improvement initiatives
