About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced and driven Quality and Risk Manager – Registered Nurse to join our leadership team. In this vital role, you’ll lead the coordination and facilitation of our quality, compliance, and risk management programs across both Residential Aged Care and Home Care services.

Reporting directly to the Chief Quality and Risk Officer, you will play a central role in ensuring our organisation upholds the highest standards of care, remains fully compliant with regulatory requirements, and continually improves service delivery through robust governance and quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site quality and compliance audits across services.
  • Lead and mentor the quality and compliance team.
  • Ensure each site is assessment-ready with up-to-date continuous improvement plans.
  • Compile and present data and quality reports at various levels of governance.
  • Maintain documentation to support the organisation’s Quality Management Systems.
  • Oversee response strategies to assessment visits from the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission.
  • Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement and consumer-focused care.
  • Coordinate organisational responses to high-level complaints, coronial investigations, and other significant events.
  • Manage the risk register and support proactive risk minimisation strategies.
  • Support the organisation’s efforts to meet Aged Care, NDIS and Community Care accreditation requirements.

Essential Criteria

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Bachelor of Nursing or higher.
  • Sound understanding of the Aged Care Act, including the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, and other relevant legislation and codes of practice.
  • High-level skills in using information systems and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated communication, leadership, and team development abilities.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).

Desirable Criteria

  • Formal qualifications in quality management or similar.
  • Previous experience in both Residential Aged Care and Home Care settings.
  • Experience with clinical governance, quality improvement frameworks, and risk management.
  • Knowledge of NDIS and Community Care regulatory standards.
