Respect Woodhaven is looking for a compassionate, clinically confident and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in Lockhart, NSW, in a permanent part time night duty position.

Your Roster

This is a permanent rotating 2 week night duty roster, providing consistency and predictability:

Week 1

  • Monday: 11:00pm – 7:15am
  • Wednesday: 11:00pm – 7:15am
  • Thursday: 11:00pm – 7:15am
  • Sunday: 11:00pm – 7:15am

Week 2

  • Monday: 11:00pm – 7:15am
  • Thursday: 11:00pm – 7:15am
  • Sunday: 11:00pm – 7:15am

Rostered shifts may include weekends and public holidays as required.

About the Position

As a Night Duty Registered Nurse, you'll be responsible for providing safe, contemporary and person-centered clinical care to our residents throughout the night.

You'll work closely with care staff and the wider multidisciplinary team, providing clinical leadership and ensuring residents' needs are identified and responded to promptly.

Overnight nursing requires confidence, sound clinical judgement and the ability to make informed decisions independently. If you are an RN who takes pride in delivering high-quality care and enjoys the responsibility and autonomy of night duty, this could be the role for you.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-quality, person-centered clinical nursing care to residents during night shifts.
  • Completing resident admissions and comprehensive clinical assessments as required.
  • Developing, implementing and reviewing individualised care plans.
  • Administering medications safely and accurately.
  • Monitoring residents' health and responding promptly and appropriately to changes in condition.
  • Maintaining accurate, timely and compliant clinical documentation.
  • Coordinating overnight clinical care and responding confidently to clinical emergencies.
  • Providing leadership, guidance and support to care staff throughout your shift.
  • Communicating effectively with residents, families, colleagues and other health professionals.
  • Ensuring care is delivered in accordance with AHPRA standards, the Aged Care Quality Standards and Respect policies and procedures.

About You

We're looking for an experienced RN who is clinically capable, calm under pressure and confident taking responsibility for overnight clinical care.

You'll have:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Demonstrated nursing experience, with aged care experience highly regarded.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • The ability to work confidently and independently during night duty.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and documentation skills.
  • Sound knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • An understanding of aged care accreditation and compliance requirements.
  • A current National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Ability to meet Aged Care Worker Screening legislative requirements.
  • A genuine commitment to providing respectful, compassionate and high-quality care to older Australians.
  • Availability and commitment to the advertised full-time permanent night duty roster.
