We are currently recruiting a Vendor & Contract Compliance Officer to support our national Home Care program. This role is central to ensuring that all external (third-party) providers delivering services to our clients operate safely, ethically, and in full compliance with organisational and regulatory standards.
The Vendor & Contract Compliance Officer oversees the quality, safety, and compliance of all associated providers working with Respect Home Care. You will manage supplier agreements, coordinate onboarding, maintain accurate compliance documentation, and act as the primary liaison between Respect and all external vendors.
This role is well-suited to someone with strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for maintaining high service standards within the aged care sector. Your work will directly support client safety, service quality, and operational excellence across our Home Care programs.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date registers for all associated providers, including contracts, credentials and compliance documents.
Lead supplier onboarding and due-diligence processes to ensure alignment with Respect’s standards and the Aged Care Act.
Conduct ongoing reviews of vendor performance, documentation and service quality, escalating issues where required.
Assist with internal and external audits and contribute to organisational compliance activities.
Support contract management, including renewals, variations, and database updates.
Manage the supplier inbox, respond to enquiries, and support the coordination of procurement-related activities.
Collaborate closely with the Home Care Finance Team to ensure smooth operational processes across the supplier network.
Assist in reporting, data management and administrative tasks as needed.
Identify opportunities to strengthen supplier management processes, systems and documentation.
Support the development and tracking of KPIs for associated providers (e.g., timeliness, service outcomes, customer satisfaction).
Prepare reports, identify risks, escalate concerns, and contribute to corrective action plans.
Investigate issues, complaints or incidents related to third-party vendor services to ensure appropriate follow-up and improvement.
Contribute to business continuity planning in instances of service disruption.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in compliance, supplier or vendor management (healthcare or home care preferred).
Strong understanding of Home Care regulations, safeguarding requirements and compliance obligations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret legislation and provide clear guidance.
Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Strong analytical ability and meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to balance competing priorities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and compliance/performance-tracking systems.
Experience with client record management systems.
Current National Police Check or NDIS Screening Check and legal right to work in Australia.
Knowledge of aged care regulatory frameworks and best-practice standards for Home Care.
Understanding of Support at Home program requirements relating to vendor management.
Experience in compliance, quality assurance, or supplier management within a medium-sized organisation.
Ability to work independently and proactively.
