Join Our Team as a Laundry Services Assistant
Are you passionate about providing high-quality support services in a caring and respectful environment? We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Services Assistant to join our team at Yallambee Lodge, Cooma, NSW and help us deliver exceptional care to the elderly in our community. We have a permanent part-time position available from Monday - Friday. Approximately 20 hours a week.

About the Role
As a Laundry Services Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring that our residents’ clothing and linen are clean, comfortable, and cared for—supporting both dignity and hygiene in our facility. You'll be part of a team that values excellence, respect, and compassion in everything we do.
Key Responsibilities
Label and care for resident personal clothing
Handle soiled linen according to infection control standards
Wash and store laundry safely and effectively
Use laundry chemicals responsibly and maintain storage protocols
Participate in our Infection Control Program and help maintain a clean, safe work environment
Report linen replacement needs and contribute to resident satisfaction
What You Bring
Essential:
Experience in laundry practices
Current National Police Certificate (or ability to obtain)
Desirable:
Previous experience in residential aged care
Knowledge of chemical handling and safety procedures
