Clinical Quality & Compliance Coordinator

  • Killean Street, Killean - Inverell, NSW, Australia, 2360
  • Full time

Lead with purpose. Make a difference. Be part of something bigger.

At Respect, we believe aged care is about more than providing support — it’s about creating places where people feel safe, valued, connected and truly at home.

As the largest provider of aged care services in Regional Australia, Respect is a growing, values-led not-for-profit organisation with an exciting future ahead.

Following Respect’s acquisition of McLean Care, our organisation is entering an exciting new chapter, bringing together people, expertise and communities with a shared commitment to delivering exceptional care for older Australians.

This is your opportunity to join that journey.

Join our 138-bed residential aged care home, McLean Gardens in Inverell, as the Clinical Quality & Compliance Coordinator and help shape a culture of clinical excellence, continuous improvement and exceptional resident care.

This is an opportunity to step into a full-time, Monday to Friday supernumerary clinical role, where you can focus on what matters most — strengthening clinical governance, improving care outcomes and ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance.

Working closely with the General Manager, Care Manager and Care Coordinator (where applicable), you’ll drive quality improvement initiatives, oversee clinical risk and compliance systems, support best-practice care and ensure readiness for accreditation and regulatory reviews.

We’re looking for an experienced Registered Nurse who is passionate about clinical leadership, quality outcomes and making a meaningful difference in the lives of older people.

No two days are the same! As Clinical Quality & Compliance Coordinator you will:

  • Provide clinical oversight to ensure care delivery aligns with best practice, legislation, and organisational standards
  • Conduct clinical audits and reviews to monitor care quality, compliance, and resident outcomes
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and implement strategies to address identified gaps or risks
  • Ensure readiness for accreditation and compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and regulatory requirements
  • Review resident clinical records and support complex care assessments, case reviews, and high-risk resident monitoring
  • Assist with incident management, investigations, risk mitigation, and preventative action planning
  • Provide clinical guidance, mentorship, and education to nursing and care teams to strengthen capability and best practice
  • Monitor clinical systems, documentation, and data integrity to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of care activities

About You

You’ll thrive with us if you have:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Demonstrated experience in residential aged care and advanced clinical assessment skills
  • Strong knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards, clinical governance, and compliance requirements
  • Experience conducting clinical audits, quality improvement activities, and accreditation preparation
  • High-level clinical documentation, review, and care planning skills
  • Experience supporting incident management, risk assessment, and corrective action processes
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills with the ability to support and guide staff
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and clinical software systems

Why You Will Love Working With Us

  • A friendly, supportive workplace where people and purpose matter.
  • Meaningful work where you make a difference every day.
  • Opportunities to build a rewarding, long-term career in aged care.
  • Competitive salary packaging, with up to $15,900 for living expenses and an additional $2,650 for meals and holiday accommodation.
