Respect Aged Care is seeking a Compliance Liaison Officer to support our Chief Quality and Risk Officer in managing complaints, regulatory responses and quality improvement across the organisation.

Working closely with the Chief Quality and Risk Officer, the Compliance Liaison Officer plays a key role in supporting the organisation’s approach to complaints management, regulatory responses and continuous improvement.
You will work across a range of complex and sensitive matters, helping to ensure concerns are investigated thoroughly, responses are evidence-based, and improvements are identified to strengthen the quality of care we provide.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing detailed responses to complaints, regulatory enquiries and investigations
Supporting responses to external bodies including the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission, Coroner and other stakeholders
Identifying and escalating clinical and operational risks
Investigating issues using complaint resolution techniques including open disclosure and investigation
Analysing trends and identifying opportunities for quality improvement
Working collaboratively with operational leaders to support resolution and learning across the organisation
You are a confident communicator who can manage complex issues with professionalism, empathy and sound judgement. You enjoy analysing information, identifying risks and helping organisations improve systems and practices.
You will bring:
A health professional background with understanding of aged care operations
Strong knowledge of the Aged Care Act, Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant legislation
Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, evidence-based responses and reports
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in quality, risk, complaints management or compliance
The ability to work independently while collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders
Clinical experience as a Registered Nurse
