About the role
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Cook to join our friendly team at Toogoolawah Alkira Aged Care in Toogoolawah on a part-time weekend basis.
Working under the guidance of our Chef Supervisor, you will prepare, cook and serve nutritious, appealing meals for residents in line with our Food Safety Program.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and present high-quality meals and beverages that residents enjoy.
Support individual dietary requirements as advised by health professionals.
Communicate stock needs and assist with ordering ingredients and supplies.
Maintain and uphold Food Safety Program documentation and standards.
Promote a safe, clean and organised kitchen environment.
Work independently or as part of the catering team to complete daily duties.
Perform other kitchen-related tasks as directed, within your skillset.
What you will bring
Completed Food Handling Course.
Relevant qualification (e.g. Certificate III in Hospitality – Commercial Cookery).
Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
Previous experience in aged care or hospitality settings.
To be considered for employment with Respect, candidates must meet the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
