About the Position

As a New Graduate Registered Nurse, you will work alongside experienced colleagues and clinical leaders to provide quality care that promotes the health, wellbeing, dignity and independence of our residents.

You will have the opportunity to strengthen your clinical knowledge, develop your decision-making skills and gain valuable experience in residential aged care within a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development, implementation and review of personalised care plans.
  • Provide safe, high-quality clinical care that supports residents’ comfort, dignity and independence.
  • Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, recognise changes in condition and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Administer medications safely and maintain accurate medication records in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Maintain clear, accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with residents, families, General Practitioners, care staff and the broader multidisciplinary team.
  • Participate in clinical handovers, care reviews and continuous improvement activities.
  • Build positive relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication and compassionate care.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring new graduate who is ready to learn, grow and make a positive contribution to our residents’ lives.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • A genuine interest in aged care and a passion for supporting older Australians.
  • A commitment to safe, evidence-based and person-centered nursing practice.
  • Good communication, organisation and documentation skills.

  • A commitment to maintaining residents’ privacy, dignity, choice and independence.
  • A current National Police Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
  • The ability to meet applicable aged care worker screening and legislative requirements.

Previous aged care experience is welcome but is not essential for the right new graduate who demonstrates a positive attitude, compassion and a willingness to learn.
