We are currently seeking an experienced IT Systems Support Officer to join our national IT team. This is a fulltime remote position, with occasional travel to our sites when operationally required. You will play a key role in providing responsive, customer-focused support to internal staff, residents and external partners, helping ensure the smooth operation of services across the organisation.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for IT issues, you will provide Level 1 and 2 support across a wide range of systems. You will manage service requests and incidents through the IT Service Desk, while also overseeing equipment procurement and logistics. You will work closely with vendors and the broader IT team to resolve issues efficiently and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
You will be responsible for:
Providing responsive Level 1 and 2 IT support for internal systems, users and equipment
Troubleshooting issues across desktop, mobile and core infrastructure environments
Collaborating with third-party vendors and escalating tickets where necessary
Maintaining clear and helpful technical documentation and knowledge base articles
Managing procurement and logistics for IT equipment and devices
Participating in on-call support rotations and contributing to IT projects as required
Adhering to change management processes and maintaining accurate records
To be successful, you will have:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an IT support or help desk role
An entry-level or foundational IT certification, with ITIL foundations as a minimum
Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Windows desktop environments and Active Directory
Knowledge of Linux server administration and virtual desktop environments
Understanding of network infrastructure, remote support tools and mobile device platforms
A strong focus on customer service and the ability to explain technical concepts to a wide audience
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
A current National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
Experience in aged care or a similarly regulated environment will be highly regarded
