We’re currently hiring part-time Laundry Services Assistants to join our friendly and dedicated team at Respect RM Begg in Kyneton, VIC. The Laundry Services Assistant is responsible for providing effective and efficient laundry services, ensuring a clean, safe, and home-like environment for residents and staff.
Collect, wash, dry, fold, and distribute residents’ clothing, linen, and other items in a timely and respectful manner.
Operate commercial laundry equipment according to procedures.
Follow infection control protocols in handling and processing laundry.
Ensure laundry is labelled, sorted, and returned to the correct residents.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the laundry area.
Safe use and storage of laundry chemicals and materials in accordance with safety guidelines.
Participate in workplace health and safety initiatives.
Perform other relevant tasks within the scope of the role, as directed by the organisation.
Training or experience in laundry operations or similar support services.
Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
Knowledge and experience in chemical handling and infection control.
Experience in residential aged care or a similar environment is highly regarded.
To be considered for employment with Respect, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
