Respect Alcheringa in Swan Hill, VIC is seeking a Maintenance Officer to join our team on a casual basis. This role provides an excellent opportunity to grow your skills in a welcoming and supportive environment. You will be an important part of ensuring our village is well presented, functional, and safe by maintaining buildings, caring for landscaped areas, and supporting the smooth operation of all facilities. Your work will help create a comfortable, attractive, and welcoming place for our residents to call home.

About the role

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

• Mowing lawns, edging, and maintaining gardens and plants

• Completing general maintenance and repair tasks throughout the facility

• Keeping outdoor spaces clean, orderly, and safe

• Looking after tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies

• Assisting with indoor maintenance duties when required

• Supporting the overall appearance of the village for residents and visitors

What we’re looking for

We are seeking someone who:

• Enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in their work

• Has general handyman skills and basic gardening knowledge

• Can work independently and manage daily tasks effectively

• Holds a current driver’s licence

• Has a current National Police Certificate or is willing to obtain one

• A relevant trade qualification is beneficial; however, candidates without formal qualifications who have suitable experience are encouraged to apply.
