The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Service Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis at The Terrace, our beautiful retirement living community in Wangaratta, Victoria.
In this hands-on role, you’ll take ownership of the general repairs, maintenance, and gardening needs across the site. You’ll enjoy variety in your day, working across villas and shared spaces to ensure our community is safe, well-presented, and welcoming for all residents.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general maintenance and minor repairs (e.g., painting, cleaning, changing light globes, basic carpentry)
Undertake gardening duties including lawn mowing, weeding, and general grounds upkeep
Assist with preventative maintenance across villas and public areas
Ensure compliance with hygiene and WHS standards by working safely and securing work areas at all times
What You Will Bring
Solid practical knowledge of building and facilities maintenance
Ability to perform a broad range of Handyperson tasks with a proactive, can-do attitude
Gardening and grounds maintenance experience (highly regarded)
Strong time management and ability to self-direct daily tasks
A team player who communicates well, but can also work independently
Professional, reliable, and customer-focused
A trade qualification will be well regarded but is not essential
Requirements
Current National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
