About the Role

Every day will be different, and that’s the exciting part of this role. As part of the People and Culture team, you will work with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, promoting Respect’s values and ways of working while supporting leaders to build engaged, capable and high-performing teams.

We are committed to continuous improvement and learning. In this role, you will coach and support managers, embed best practice People and Culture initiatives, and contribute to improving the overall employee experience across your portfolio.

The People and Culture Business Partner provides high-level business partnering support to leaders and employees within their allocated Queensland portfolio, including but not limited to:

  • Performance and employee relations management
  • Change management, including union and employee consultation
  • Workforce planning
  • Training and development
  • Employee experience initiatives
  • Workplace health and safety and injury management

This role is primarily remote; however, regular travel to Residential Aged Care homes across Queensland will be required.

About You

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a generalist People and Culture or HR role
  • Strong knowledge and experience in contemporary People and Culture practices, including performance management, employee relations, change management, workplace health and safety, and injury management
  • Proven ability to manage change in a complex and often challenging industrial environment
  • Highly developed communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex situations and deliver practical solutions
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight timeframes

Perks & Benefits

  • As a not-for-profit you can reduce your tax by salary packaging up to $15,900 per year for living expenses, bills, rent, mortgage and groceries. Take advantage of a further $2,650 to pay for meals out or holiday accommodation
  • Training and development pathways
  • Supportive leaders who are onsite
  • A friendly, down-to-earth workplace
  • Opportunity to build a long-term career in aged care
