As a Food Services Assistant, you will support the Chef or Cook in preparing and serving nutritious, attractively presented meals for residents, while maintaining food safety standards and fostering a warm, welcoming dining environment. This is a Permanent Part Time position with AM shifts available. The role requires flexibility and adaptability to varying shifts, offering the opportunity to be part of a supportive and caring team.

No two days are the same! As Food Service Assistant you will:

• Support menu planning to reflect residents’ needs, preferences, and dietary requirements.
• Prepare, serve, and present meals and refreshments in line with the Food Safety Program.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, including general cleaning and safe food handling practices.
• Monitor and record food safety requirements, including temperatures and goods received.
• Deliver meals with a friendly, respectful approach and report any food or beverage concerns to the Registered Nurse in Charge.

About You

You’ll thrive with us if you have:

• Completion of a Food Handling Course
• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous experience in residential aged care feed services.
