About the Role

As a Casual Personal Care Assistant at Lyrebird Village, you will play an important role in supporting our residents to live a life well-lived through compassionate, person-centred care.

Working closely with our nursing team and wider care staff, you'll provide practical and emotional support while helping residents maintain their dignity, independence, comfort, and wellbeing.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:

• Providing personal care, including assistance with showering, dressing, grooming, and hygiene
• Supporting residents with mobility, transfers, and safe manual handling practices
• Assisting with meals, hydration, and daily living activities
• Building meaningful and respectful relationships with residents and their families
• Observing and reporting changes in residents' health, wellbeing, and behaviour
• Working collaboratively with Registered Nurses and the broader care team
• Following individual care plans and maintaining accurate documentation
• Supporting residents to participate in lifestyle activities and maintain independence
• Promoting a safe, comfortable, and positive living environment

About You

We're looking for a Personal Care Assistant who is compassionate, reliable, and passionate about supporting older people to live their best lives.

To Be Considered, You Will Have:

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing), Aged Care, or an equivalent qualification
• Previous experience in aged care, community care, disability support, or a similar role (desirable)
• A genuine passion for providing high-quality care to older people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive, team-focused attitude
• The ability to work across a variety of shifts, including weekends if required
• An understanding of person-centred care principles
• Current National Police Certificate, or willingness to obtain one
