As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA), you will play a vital role in supporting residents with their daily living needs and enhancing their quality of life. Working under the guidance of the Care Manager and clinical team, you will provide respectful, person-centred care in line with individual care plans and organisational values.
Provide personal care support including showering, dressing, toileting, grooming and mobility assistance
Assist residents with meals, hydration, and nutritional needs
Support residents’ emotional wellbeing through companionship and meaningful engagement
Follow and contribute to individual care plans and document care provided accurately
Assist with transfers and use of mobility aids safely
Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents
Work collaboratively with nursing staff and the broader care team
Adhere to all policies, procedures, and aged care standards
Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care or equivalent), or willingness to obtain
A genuine passion for caring for older people
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Current National Police Certificate and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain)
Understanding of person-centred care and aged care quality standards
Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
