About the Role

Working in home care is more than just a job — it’s the chance to make a real difference in someone’s everyday life. At Respect, our Independence at Home services help older Australians remain safe, comfortable, and connected in the place they value most — their own home. From assisting with daily living and social engagement to supporting clinical and nursing care, every interaction matters. Join a compassionate, reliable team where your work truly impacts lives and every day feels purposeful.

Make a meaningful difference by supporting people to live safely and independently in their own homes.

As a Registered Nurse – Home Care, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred clinical care to participants across the Liverpool and Fairfield area, including those with complex health needs. No two days are the same! As Registered Nurse – Home Care you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop, implement, and review individualised care plans in collaboration with participants and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Deliver a range of complex nursing care in the home, including wound care, medication management, chronic disease management, and end-of-life support.
  • Monitor participant health, respond to changes, and escalate clinical concerns in line with governance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with Care Partners, allied health, GPs, and external providers to ensure coordinated, person-centred care.
  • Provide education and support to participants, families, and support workers, promoting safety, independence, and wellbeing.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with professional standards, legislation, and quality and safety requirements.

About You

You’ll thrive with us if you have:

Essential:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA with no restrictions.
  • Minimum two years post-registration clinical experience, ideally in aged care, community nursing, or home care.
  • Competence in clinical assessment, care planning, and delivery of complex nursing care in community settings.
  • Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards, relevant legislation, clinical governance, risk management, and incident reporting.
  • Current driver’s licence, First Aid/CPR certification, and ability to travel to participants’ homes.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to maintain accurate, compliant clinical documentation.

Desirable:

  • Experience with home care frameworks (Home Care Packages, CHSP, Support at Home) and supporting participants with complex clinical needs, including dementia.
  • Familiarity with electronic clinical systems and participation in quality improvement or clinical governance activities.
  • Postgraduate or specialist training in aged care, wound care, chronic disease management, or palliative care.

Perks & Benefits

  • As a not-for-profit you can reduce your tax by salary packaging up to $15,900 per year for living expenses, bills, rent, mortgage and groceries. Take advantage of a further $2,650 to pay for meals out or holiday accommodation
  • Training and development pathways
  • Supportive leaders who are onsite
  • A friendly, down-to-earth workplace
  • Opportunity to build a long-term career in aged care
