About the Role

St John’s is a well-established and welcoming aged care home located in the heart of Wangaratta, offering a supportive environment for both residents and staff.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will deliver high-quality clinical care, support residents’ wellbeing, and play a key role in leading care teams to ensure best practice outcomes.

No two days are the same! As a Registered Nurse you will:

  • Deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care to residents
  • Undertake clinical assessments, care planning and evaluations
  • Administer medications and monitor clinical outcomes
  • Supervise and support care staff, providing guidance and leadership
  • Liaise with residents, families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ensure compliance with aged care standards and clinical documentation requirements
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and quality care initiatives

About You

You’ll thrive with us if you have:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Previous experience in aged care or a similar clinical setting (highly regarded)
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and support a team
  • Sound knowledge of aged care standards and best practice
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • A genuine passion for caring for older Australians
