We’re looking for a Social Care Assistant to join our supportive team at Lyrebird Village in Drouin and deliver lifestyle programs that bring joy, engagement, and purpose to the lives of our residents.
This position is a part time position working 10 - 5 on Mon/Wed/Thurs/Fri and 10-230 on Tuesday. Immediate start available.
About the role:
In this rewarding role, you'll:
Facilitate individual, group and community-based lifestyle activities tailored to residents’ preferences and needs.
Help develop and implement meaningful social care plans.
Support and coordinate volunteers.
Contribute to newsletters and communication for residents and families.
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and vibrant community where residents feel valued and respected.
About you:
You’re someone who brings:
Certificate III or IV in Aged Care / Leisure and Lifestyle or similar (Essential)
A current National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
Empathy, warmth, and excellent communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team
A commitment to upholding dignity, respect, and quality of life for older people
Experience in activity planning or social care programs will be highly regarded.
To be considered for employment with Respect, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
