As a not-for-profit organisation, everything we do is driven by our commitment to supporting older Australians with dignity, compassion and genuine connection.

We’re a growing, values-led organisation with a strong focus on our residents, their families and our team. When you join Respect, you become part of a supportive community that thrives on collaboration, trust and the shared belief that everyone deserves to feel valued.

If you’re looking for an organisation that invests in its people, celebrates purpose, and offers meaningful career pathways, you’ll feel right at home with us.

Why You Will Love Working With Us

  • A workplace culture that celebrates people, progress, and purpose
  • Meaningful work where you see the impact you make every day
  • Opportunities to grow your career
  • Save tax by salary packaging up to $15,900 of living expenses and a further $2650 for meals out and holiday accommodation!

About the Role

IT at Respect is undergoing rapid transformation.

Digital capability is being significantly uplifted, and Digital Solutions is a newly formed function focused on building modern, scalable digital platforms to support the organisation’s future.

The Digital Solutions team is currently small and operating in build mode. This role will be a foundation technical role within that function, with opportunities to grow in scope and influence as the team expands.

This is a full-time fully remote role.

The Technical Business Partner is a highly technical role responsible for designing, building, and evolving digital solutions across integrations, applications, and automation which meet the needs of the relevant business department.

This role is suited to an engineer who thrives in ambiguity, values engineering discipline, and prefers delivering working software early and improving it iteratively — without sacrificing code quality or long-term maintainability.

This is not a people management role but will involve liaising with the business frequently to ensure that outcomes are relevant and useful.

The key trait we are looking for is ownership – of the code, the relationship and the outcome

As a Technical Business Partner your tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • Design and build high quality digital solutions.
  • Translate loosely defined, back of the envelope requirements into working software.
  • Deliver early versions, learn from use and iterate rapidly.
  • Take end to end ownership of outcomes, not just tasks.
  • Work directly with the business to understand needs.
  • Apply sound engineering patterns.
  • Contribute to the establishment of practical technical patterns.
  • Operate as a full stack engineer.

About You

You will thrive in this role if you have:

  • Experience as a Technical Business Partner or similar.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across the business.
  • Demonstrated experience in similar technical based roles.
  • Knowledge of care services industry is desirable.
  • A high level of self direction and autonomy.
  • Current National Police Certificate (or willingness/ability to obtain).

Perks & Benefits

  • As a not-for-profit you can reduce your tax by salary packaging up to $15,900 per year for living expenses, bills, rent, mortgage and groceries. Take advantage of a further $2,650 to pay for meals out or holiday accommodation
  • Training and development pathways
  • Supportive leaders who are onsite
  • A friendly, down-to-earth workplace
  • Opportunity to build a long-term career in aged care

Ready to Apply?

If you’re passionate about caring for others and want to be part of a team that genuinely values you, we would love to hear from you. Please note that selection processes will commence immediately, any late applications may result in exclusion from the process. To be considered please apply now!
