About the role

As a weekend Barista, you’ll:

  • Prepare coffee and other barista-style beverages to order, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Serve residents, visitors, and staff with a friendly, and respectful approach.
  • Maintain a clean and organised café.
  • Support high standards of hygiene and food safety at all times.
  • Help create a welcoming and enjoyable café experience for everyone.

Key Duties

  • Make coffee and tea to order, including espresso-based drinks, and ensure quality presentation.
  • Take customer orders, serve food and beverages, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and café surfaces.
  • Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors of low supplies.
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene guidelines.
  • Report any issues or concerns to the supervisor on duty.

Essential Requirements:

  • Barista Training Course/Barista Certificate
  • Completion of a Food Handling Course
  • Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Previous experience as a barista in aged care setting or in a hospitality role
