We are currently seeking a Care Manager to lead and support the clinical care team at our St John’s Aged Care Facility in Wangaratta, Victoria. About the Role:

As the Care Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role in overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations of the facility. Working closely with the Facility Manager and multidisciplinary team, you will ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality care and services aligned with our organisational values and aged care standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage clinical care staff to deliver exceptional resident outcomes

  • Monitor and maintain compliance with all clinical governance and regulatory requirements

  • Foster a positive team culture that supports staff development and resident wellbeing

  • Liaise with residents, families, and health professionals to ensure individualised care plans are developed and implemented

  • Drive continuous improvement in care practices and service delivery

  • Support staff education and training to ensure clinical competencies are maintained across the team

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor resident outcomes and drive continuous quality improvement

  • Collaborate with the wider Respect network to share best practices and contribute to organisational initiatives

About You:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse

  • Previous experience in a similar leadership or management role within aged care

  • Strong understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and accreditation processes

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills

  • A passion for aged care and commitment to person-centred care

  • Proficient in clinical documentation, care planning, and the use of aged care software systems (e.g. AutumnCare, LeeCare, or similar)

  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to a dynamic aged care environment
