Availability across a range of shifts is essential, as our residents deserve consistent, compassionate care around the clock.

The Position

As a Personal Care Assistant, you'll become an important part of a supportive and caring team. Working alongside our clinical team, you'll help residents maintain their dignity, independence, wellbeing and quality of life.

You'll build meaningful relationships with residents and provide compassionate assistance with their daily needs. Whether it's helping with personal care, sharing a conversation over a meal, or simply being there when someone needs support—every interaction matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respectful and compassionate personal care to assist residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence and dignity.
• Assist with meal delivery, refreshments and residents' individual dietary requirements.
• Monitor and record resident observations in relevant assessment charts and documentation.
• Identify and report any changes or exceptions to a resident's care plan to the EN/RN.
• Check and support residents with their daily menu requirements.
• Complete duties allocated or delegated by the RN/EN, including general ward and resident support duties.
• Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment for residents.
• Work collaboratively with the wider care team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
• Undertake other duties within your skills and capabilities as directed by the organisation.

Requirements

• Relevant Certificate III qualification.
• Experience working in residential aged care.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Current National Police Certificate or willingness and ability to obtain one.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness and ability to obtain one.
• A genuine commitment to providing respectful, person-centred care.
• To be considered for employment with Respect, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
