Respect St John’s is looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team on a permanent part-time basis.

About the Position

As a Registered Nurse, you'll provide safe, high-quality clinical care that promotes the health, wellbeing and independence of our residents.

Working closely with the Care Manager, General Manager and wider care team, you'll play an important role in leading person-centred care, supporting positive clinical outcomes and building meaningful relationships with residents and their families.

Your clinical expertise, leadership and compassion will help ensure our residents receive care that is safe, respectful and tailored to their individual needs.

Shift patterns and hours are flexible and will be discussed during the interview.

Key Duties

• Complete comprehensive resident assessments and obtain relevant histories from residents and/or family members to identify care needs.
• Participate in resident admissions, ongoing assessments and reviews.
• Develop, implement and regularly evaluate individualised resident care plans.
• Maintain accurate, timely and comprehensive clinical documentation that reflects care delivered.
• Provide and oversee direct clinical care to residents as required, including personal hygiene, pain management, clinical assessments and GP rounds.
• Administer medications safely and assume responsibility for correct ordering, storage, administration and documentation in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
• Monitor residents' health and wellbeing and respond appropriately to changes in clinical condition.
• Work collaboratively with care staff, allied health professionals, GPs, residents and families to achieve positive outcomes.
• Provide clinical guidance, support and direction to the wider care team.

Essential Requirements

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant aged care legislation.
• Current National Police Certificate or ability to acquire.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication and documentation skills.
• Understanding of aged care accreditation and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated commitment to person-centred care and supporting residents' dignity, independence and quality of life.

To be considered for employment with Respect, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
