About the Role: Under the direction of the Chef/Cook, the Food Services Assistant is responsible to contribute to the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Food Safety Program (FSP); and the provision of a variety of quality food and beverages to meet the resident’s individual needs and preferences.
Key Responsibilities
Food Services

Assist with meal preparation and plating
-
Deliver meals and beverages to residents

Support kitchen operations and maintain food safety standards

Ensure compliance with infection control and hygiene procedures
Cleaning
-
Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas
-
Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the facility
-
Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures
Laundry
-
Assist with washing, drying, folding and distributing laundry

Maintain linen supplies and ensure appropriate handling of personal items

Operate laundry equipment safely and effectively
Essential Requirements:
- Food Handling Course.
- Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
- Experience in residential aged care food services.
- To be considered for employment with Respect, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
