About the Role

Are you an experienced clinical leader ready to shape the future of Home Care services?

Reporting to the Head of Home Care, the Clinical General Manager leads the strategic direction of clinical services, allied health, governance and risk across the Respect Home Care division. This role is central to delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care while driving continuous improvement and service excellence.

You will play a key role in shaping and implementing the clinical strategy in line with Support at Home reforms and Strengthened Quality Standards, ensuring services are responsive, sustainable and focused on supporting clients to live well at home.

With a strong focus on governance and performance, you will oversee clinical risk, incidents, complaints and quality outcomes, using data-driven insights to identify trends and drive improvement across the division. You will also contribute to service growth, identifying opportunities for innovation and strengthening the capability of the clinical workforce.

No two days are the same! As Clinical General Manager – Home Care you will:

  • Partner with the Head of Home Care to deliver the clinical strategy, aligned with organisational priorities, sector reforms and regulatory requirements
  • Lead the growth of clinical and allied health services, expanding offerings to meet client needs and improve performance
  • Oversee the clinical governance framework, including quality, compliance, audits and continuous improvement, while identifying risks and trends
  • Provide oversight of clinical risk, incidents and complaints, ensuring safe, person-centred care and strong quality systems
  • Lead and support clinical and allied health teams, driving accountability, performance and acting as an escalation point for complex issues
  • Build strong relationships across the organisation and with external stakeholders to support effective service delivery
  • Drive workforce capability, ensuring clinical education and competency frameworks support safe and contemporary practice

About You

You’ll thrive with us if you have:

Essential

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, without restrictions
  • Extensive senior leadership experience across aged care, home care or healthcare, with accountability for clinical governance, quality and risk
  • Proven ability to lead clinical strategy, service development and change within complex environments
  • Strong knowledge of aged care legislation, regulatory requirements and clinical governance frameworks
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and fostering accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Advanced clinical leadership skills, with the ability to manage complex issues and provide expert advice to support decision-making
  • Experience overseeing clinical quality, incidents, SIRs, complaints, audits and improvement initiatives
  • Strong analytical capability to interpret clinical and operational data, identify risks and drive strategic action
  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Experience leading policy development, workforce capability and clinical education initiatives
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to balance clinical outcomes and operational priorities
  • Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current driver’s licence

Desirable

  • 10+ years’ experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Experience leading organisational or divisional readiness and implementation of aged care reforms, including Support at Home
  • Experience presenting clinical governance, quality and risk reporting to Executive committees
