About the Role
We are currently seeking a Full-Time Cook to join the hospitality team at Autumn Lodge. In this role, you will play an important part in preparing nutritious and enjoyable meals that support the wellbeing of our residents.
Working collaboratively with the wider team, you will ensure meals are prepared to a high standard while maintaining safe food handling and kitchen practices.
As a Cook, you will:
Prepare and cook nutritious meals in line with planned menus and dietary requirements
Ensure meals are presented to a high standard and served on time
Maintain food safety and infection control standards
Assist with special dietary and texture-modified meal preparation
Support stock control and minimise food waste
Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment
Work closely with the care team to support resident wellbeing
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous cooking experience, ideally within aged care, healthcare or hospitality
Knowledge of food safety standards and safe food handling practices
A Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
Strong time management and organisational skills
A positive, team-focused attitude
A genuine passion for supporting older Australians
Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends
A valid Police Check (or willingness to obtain one)
