Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve high-quality meals and beverages that cater to residents’ dietary and nutritional needs.
  • Work closely with residents, dietitians, Registered Nurses, and the General Manager to contribute to menu planning.
  • Monitor stock levels and communicating supply needs to the Chef Supervisor.
  • Maintain food safety standards by effective implementation of the Food Safety Program (FSP).
  • Foster a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen environment to work efficiently and confidently.
  • Order supplies to align with menu plans and budget requirements.
  • Independently plan and manage your workload with professionalism and care.
  • Assist with other relevant duties within your skillset, as directed by the organisation

Essential Requirements

  • A Trade Cook Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Food Handling Course and a current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
  • Proven experience working in hospitality.
  • Experience in aged care cooking.
  • Current National Police Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Must meet Aged Care Worker Screening legislative requirements.

Highly Desirable

  • Leadership experience in a kitchen or food services setting.
  • Food Services Supervisor accreditation.
