About the Role
Reporting to the Chef Supervisor, the Food Services Cook is responsible for the preparation, cooking, and serving of nourishing, appetising, and visually appealing meals that meet residents' individual dietary needs and align with the Food Safety Program.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and present high-quality food and beverages that meet dietary and nutritional requirements.
Collaborate on menu planning with residents, dietitians, Registered Nurses, and the General Manager.
Monitor and report stock requirements to the Chef Supervisor.
Support implementation and compliance with the Food Safety Program (FSP).
Promote and maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment.
Order supplies as needed, ensuring alignment with menu needs and budget.
Independently plan and execute daily workloads in a professional manner.
Perform other relevant duties within your skillset as directed by the organisation.
Essential Requirements
Trade Cook Certificate or equivalent.
Food Handling Course.
Demonstrated experience in hospitality.
Experience in aged care cooking, particularly in large-scale settings
Current National Police Certificate (or ability to obtain).
NDIS Check
Computer literacy
Must meet Aged Care Worker Screening legislative requirements.
Highly Desirable
Leadership experience in a kitchen or food services environment.
Food Services Supervisor accreditation.
