Why You Will Love Working With Us

  • A workplace culture that celebrates people, progress, and purpose
  • Meaningful work where you see the impact you make every day
  • Opportunities to grow your career
  • Save tax by salary packaging up to $15,900 of living expenses and a further $2650 for meals out and holiday accommodation!

About the Role

As Health and Safety Co‑ordinator, you’ll play an important supporting role in strengthening how health, safety and wellbeing are delivered across a national aged care organisation. Working closely with leaders, clinical teams and WHS representatives, you’ll help ensure systems, processes and practices are consistent, practical and aligned to legislative requirements across multiple states.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being connected across teams—supporting committees, guiding conversations around risk and safety, and helping turn legislation into clear, workable approaches at a site level. You’ll contribute to building capability in Health & Safety Committees and support a more proactive approach to hazard identification, risk control and continuous improvement across the organisation.

This is a full-time role with a remote working arrangement, with regular travel across Victoria and occasional interstate travel to NSW, QLD and TAS. It offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of sites while maintaining flexibility and autonomy in your day-to-day work.

You’ll bring hands-on experience supporting and coaching Health & Safety Committees, with the confidence to guide teams in building capability and improving engagement. While not essential, experience within aged care or healthcare will be highly regarded, particularly where you’ve supported safety practices in complex, people-focused environments.

No two days are the same! As Health and Safety Co-ordinator, you will:

  • Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, regulations and Codes of Practice
  • Maintain and improve WHS policies, procedures and safe work practices
  • Support leaders to meet due diligence and safety obligations
  • Coordinate incident reporting, investigations and preventative actions
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits and workplace inspections
  • Monitor hazards, corrective actions and risk controls across sites
  • Support injury management, return-to-work and rehabilitation processes
  • Deliver and coordinate WHS training, inductions and toolbox talks
  • Support safety committees to strengthen engagement and safety outcomes
  • Analyse WHS data, identify trends and drive continuous improvement

About You

You’ll thrive with us if you have:

Essential

  • Tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety or related discipline
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a similar WHS role, preferably in aged care, health care or community services.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Australian WHS legislation across multiple jurisdictions
  • Experience in incident investigations, manual handling and occupational violence and aggression risk management.

Desirable

  • ICAM or equivalent incident investigation training
  • Manual or resident handling trainer accreditation
  • Experience within aged care, healthcare or community services

Perks & Benefits

  • As a not-for-profit you can reduce your tax by salary packaging up to $15,900 per year for living expenses, bills, rent, mortgage and groceries. Take advantage of a further $2,650 to pay for meals out or holiday accommodation
  • Training and development pathways
  • Supportive leaders who are onsite
  • A friendly, down-to-earth workplace
  • Opportunity to build a long-term career in aged care
