About the Role

We are looking for a caring, reliable and motivated Home Care Assistant to join our growing team, providing personalised support to clients in the comfort of their own homes.

This is a part-time position covering the Deloraine, Mole Creek and Westbury areas. The successful applicant must be available to work weekdays, with occasional Sunday or late afternoon shifts, to help meet the growing demand for local services.

If you’re passionate about supporting others, enjoy building meaningful relationships and thrive working independently in the community, we’d love to hear from you!

No two days are the same! As Home Care Assistant you will:

  • Support clients to achieve and maintain wellbeing and independence, delivering care in line with individual care plans, goals, and service plans.
  • Provide direct personal care assistance, including bathing, hygiene, dressing, grooming, mobility support, lifting, meal preparation, and fitting of aids as required.
  • Undertake domestic assistance such as cleaning, laundry, food preparation, and shopping, ensuring a safe and comfortable home environment.
  • Offer social support and transport services to enable clients to participate in community life, attend appointments, and maintain social connections.
  • Monitor client health and wellbeing, including medication where trained and competent, and promptly report any changes in condition, behaviour, or environment to the Home Care Manager.
  • Maintain professional, respectful relationships with clients, ensuring appropriate boundaries, accurate documentation, and a positive representation of Respect in the community, while supporting reablement and independence.

About You

You’ll thrive with us if you have:

  • Hold a Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability, or equivalent, and a current National Police Certificate (or ability to obtain).
  • Be physically able to perform role responsibilities safely and effectively.
  • Maintain First Aid certification (within 3 years), driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and comprehensive work-use vehicle insurance.
  • Comply with mandatory vaccinations, including COVID-19 (and ideally flu).
  • Demonstrate relevant community care experience, such as home care, personal care, or disability support work.

Why You’ll Love Working With Us

  • A friendly, supportive workplace where people and purpose matter.
  • Meaningful work where you make a difference every day.
  • Opportunities to build a rewarding, long-term career in aged care.
  • Competitive salary packaging, with up to $15,900 for living expenses and an additional $2,650 for meals and holiday accommodation.
