About the Role

The Cleaning Services Assistant is responsible for providing cleaning services that contribute to a safe, clean, and home-like environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide cleaning services in accordance with established cleaning schedules.
• Mopping, vacuuming, floor polishing, carpet cleaning, dusting, waste management, and restocking supplies.
• Assist with laundry duties as required.
• Maintain accurate records of completed cleaning tasks.
• Ensure safe storage and appropriate use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Participate in infection prevention and control practices.
• Contribute to a safe environment by ensuring cleaning equipment does not obstruct exits or walkways.
• Undertake other duties within your skills and experience as directed by the organisation.

Essential Requirements

• Previous cleaning experience or relevant training.
• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Knowledge and experience in the safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Previous experience in residential aged care is desirable.
• Understanding of infection control principles and workplace safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• To be considered for employment with Respect, all candidates must satisfy the legislative requirements of the Aged Care Worker Screening process.
