About the Role

We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Personal Care Assistants to join our team at Mitchell House in Morwell, Victoria.

In this rewarding role, you will play a vital part in supporting residents with their daily care needs while promoting their independence, dignity, and wellbeing. You will work closely with nurses and the wider care team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care in a warm and welcoming aged care environment.

No Two Days Are the Same! As a Personal Care Assistant, You Will:

• Provide personal care, including assistance with showering, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Support residents with mobility and safe manual handling practices.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and activities of daily living.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
• Observe and report changes in residents' health and wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with nurses and the broader care team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow individual care plans.
• Promote resident choice, dignity, and independence at all times.

About You

You'll thrive with us if you have:

• Certificate III or Certificate IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent qualification.
• Previous aged care experience or experience in a similar care environment (desirable).
• A genuine passion for supporting and caring for older people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive, reliable, and team-focused attitude.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required.
• Understanding of person-centred care principles.
• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Up-to-date vaccinations in line with aged care requirements.
