About the Role

RM Begg is a beautifully appointed aged care residence offering 90 spacious private rooms, each thoughtfully designed with expansive ensuites, built-in wardrobes, and convenient in-room amenities including telephones and high-speed internet. Our home provides a refined and welcoming environment, with a range of elegant private and semi-private indoor and outdoor spaces for residents and staff to enjoy. Surrounded by exquisite gardens, tranquil courtyards, and picturesque walking paths, RM Begg offers a peaceful and supportive setting — making it not only a wonderful place to live, but also a truly rewarding place to work.

As a Laundry Services Assistant, you’ll play an important role in ensuring a clean, comfortable, and well-presented environment for our residents. Working in a residential aged care setting, you’ll be responsible for laundering resident clothing, bedding, and facility linen, while maintaining high standards of hygiene and infection control.

Positions are available for part-time and casual employees. The successful candidate will need to be flexible to work across a range of shifts.

You’ll be joining a supportive team environment where everyone works together, and your contribution is genuinely appreciated.

No two days are the same! As Laundry Services Assistant you will:

• Ensure all resident personal clothing and laundry items are correctly labelled and managed.
• Safely handle, transport, and launder soiled linen and clothing in line with infection control policies and procedures.
• Use and store laundry chemicals safely, ensuring correct agents and quantities are applied for each task.
• Maintain appropriate storage, rotation, and distribution of clean linen.
• Inspect linen for quality and replacement needs, participate in infection control practices, and carry out additional duties within scope as directed.
