Quality Learning & Development Officer
Are you passionate about enhancing staff development and improving quality in the aged care sector? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Learning and Development Officer to join our team and lead the creation of innovative, effective learning programs that support compliance, continuous improvement and best practice across our organisation.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Quality Learning & Development Manager, you will be responsible for designing, developing and delivering engaging education resources and programs tailored to our workforce. This role plays a key part in fostering a culture of learning and development, while ensuring alignment with legislative requirements and our organisational values. This is a remote role, with the ability and flexibility to travel interstate required.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement a positive culture of learning across the organisation
- Design and deliver engaging training programs (face-to-face, online and hybrid)
- Develop clinical education toolboxes and e-learning resources
- Support compliance through monitoring and improving LMS completion rates
- Collaborate on quality improvement projects and support best practice policy development
- Conduct training needs assessments and assist in employee career development
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration
- Experience as an L&D Educator, Training Manager or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of effective learning and development methods
- Experience with instructional design and development of online learning resources
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and Learning Management Systems
- Ability to foster a team environment and build collaborative relationships
- Highly effective communication, leadership and relationship management skills
- Understanding of Residents’ Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes
- NDIS Worker Screening certification (or the ability to obtain)
- Ability and flexibility to travel interstate as required
- Postgraduate qualification in Aged Care
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
- Management experience within the aged care sector (desirable)
