Are you a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse ready to take the lead on night shifts? At Respect Aged Care, we are seeking a Registered Nurse in Charge to join our dedicated team at Tyler Village in Tasmania. This is a part-time role, providing essential leadership and clinical care during overnight hours.

The Role

As the Registered Nurse in Charge, you will oversee the clinical care and safety of residents during the night shift. Your leadership will ensure that care staff are supported and that residents receive consistent, high-quality care throughout the night.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and supporting care staff during night shift operations
  • Delivering and supervising high-quality, individualised nursing care
  • Monitoring and managing residents’ clinical needs and responding to emergencies
  • Completing accurate documentation and thorough handovers
  • Upholding the values, policies, and standards of Respect Aged Care

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in aged care
  • Proven experience as a Registered Nurse in Charge
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Understanding of the Residential Classification Scale and Aged Care Standards
  • Current National Police Certificate (or ability to obtain one)
  • NDIS Workers Check (or ability to obtain one)
  • Familiarity with Commonwealth Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI)
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills
  • Understanding of the aged care accreditation process

Salary Range: $90,000 - $125,000 (plus superannuation)
