About Us

At Respect, we’re proud to be Regional Australia’s largest aged care provider. Join our purpose-driven team and enjoy meaningful work, a supportive culture and opportunities to grow while making a real difference in the lives of older Australians.

About the Role

Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? Join our aged care community as a compassionate and creative Social Care Assistant, bringing connection, purpose, and enjoyment to each day.

We are looking for a casual Social Care Assistant who is flexible with their availability and able to work across a range of days to support resident activities and engagement.

You’ll deliver engaging individual, group, and community-based activities tailored to residents’ physical, social, cultural, and spiritual needs, creating meaningful moments that support dignity, choice, and wellbeing.

We’re looking for someone warm, proactive, and people-focused, with the ability to connect easily and bring energy and creativity into everything they do.

If you’re ready to make a genuine impact where it matters most, we’d love to hear from you.

No two days are the same! As Social Care Assistant you will:

  • Document social profiles of new residents and participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of social care plans.
  • Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the activities program.
  • Maintain resources for the activities program.
  • Prepare newsletters, activity notices and other correspondence for residents and other representatives.
  • Assist the General Manager in recruitment, appropriate delegation, and support for volunteers.
  • Any other task not defined but within the employee’s skills, as directed by the organisation.

About You

You’ll thrive with us if you have:

  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and coordinating a social care or activities program.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply an enthusiastic and innovative approach to the development of social care activities.
  • Good customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilise information management systems including care planning, notes and emails.

Why You Will Love Working With Us

  • A friendly, supportive workplace where people and purpose matter.
  • Meaningful work where you make a difference every day.
  • Opportunities to build a rewarding, long-term career in aged care.
  • Competitive salary packaging, with up to $15,900 for living expenses and an additional $2,650 for meals and holiday accommodation.
