Respect Aged Care’s Edward Collick Home in Kalgoorlie is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Food Services Assistants to join our kitchen team. Both casual and part-time positions are available, giving you the flexibility to choose what suits your lifestyle best.

In this essential role, you will help ensure that our residents receive well-prepared, nutritious meals that meet their individual dietary needs and enhance their daily living experience. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, portioning, serving, and timely delivery of meals and refreshments to residents.

• Ensure meals are served in accordance with individual dietary requirements and preferences, as outlined by clinical staff and the Food Services Program (FSP).

• Support the implementation and ongoing monitoring of the FSP, including temperature checks, recording deliveries, and maintaining food safety standards.

• Maintain cleanliness in food preparation, service, and dining areas in line with hygiene and safety standards.

• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to support a clean and safe environment.

• Communicate effectively with residents and staff to ensure satisfaction and address food-related concerns.

• Perform other related tasks as directed and appropriate to your skills and training.

Qualifications & Experience

• Completion of a recognised Food Handling Course.

• A current National Police Certificate (or willingness and ability to obtain one).

• First Aid.

• Previous experience in residential aged care food services is highly regarded.

• Background in hospitality or catering will be well regarded.

• Knowledge of food safety regulations and dietary requirements in an aged care setting is an advantage.
