As a Food Services Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting residents’ wellbeing by assisting with food preparation, meal service, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen and dining environment. You will work collaboratively with the catering and care teams to ensure meals are delivered in a timely, respectful, and resident-focused manner.
This is a casual position, offering flexibility across a rotating roster.
Assist with basic food preparation and meal plating
Deliver meals and beverages to residents in line with dietary requirements
Assist residents during mealtimes where required
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining, and service areas
Wash dishes and utensils and manage waste appropriately
Follow food safety, hygiene, and infection control standards
Accurately complete required documentation
Work collaboratively with the catering, care, and clinical teams
Comply with all organisational policies, procedures, and aged care quality standards
Previous experience in food services, hospitality, or aged care (desirable but not essential)
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (or willingness to learn)
A friendly, respectful, and resident-focused approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Current National Police Certificate and Aged Care Worker Screening (or ability to obtain)
Availability to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
