As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA), you will play a vital role in supporting residents with their daily living needs and enhancing their quality of life. Working under the guidance of the Care Manager and clinical team, you will deliver respectful, person-centred care in line with individual care plans and Respect’s values.
This is a part-time position, offering consistent hours with flexibility across a rotating roster.
Provide personal care including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility assistance
Assist residents with meals, hydration, and nutritional needs
Support residents’ emotional wellbeing through companionship and meaningful engagement
Follow individual care plans and accurately document care provided
Assist with transfers and the safe use of mobility aids
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
Work collaboratively with nurses and the broader care team
Comply with all organisational policies, procedures, and aged care quality standards
Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care or equivalent), or willingness to obtain
A genuine passion for supporting older people
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
Current National Police Certificate and Aged Care Worker Screening (or ability to obtain)
Understanding of person-centred care and aged care quality standards
Availability to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
