You’ll build meaningful, one-on-one relationships with participants and their families, tailoring support to individual needs while promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing. From assisting with daily living and social engagement to supporting clinical and nursing care, every interaction matters. Based in Wangaratta, VIC, the Home Care Assistant role at Respect is primarily part-time, with flexibility to work on a casual basis if needed, supporting the expansion of services across the Hume region. The right candidate will deliver personalised, compassionate in-home care, assisting clients with personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, transportation, and monitoring wellbeing, while ensuring all support aligns with individual care plans, goals, and Respect’s policies. This position requires a minimum of Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability, or equivalent, and willingness to travel to Wangaratta, Wodonga, and surrounding areas. Shifts are primarily Thursday to Sunday, with additional days as needed for coverage, including weekends. Standard compliance requirements — including First Aid, current driver’s license, and vehicle registration — are mandatory. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, supporting clients to remain safe, independent, and connected in their own homes.
