Do you enjoy hands-on work and keeping spaces safe and functional? We’re looking for a Maintenance Services Assistant to join our team on a casual basis.

Shifts are available Monday to Friday, as needed, giving you flexibility while helping keep our community running smoothly.

In this role, you’ll assist with maintaining buildings, equipment, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.

We’re looking for someone with a trade or maintenance background, or relevant hands-on experience, who is proactive, reliable, and takes pride in their work.

No two days are the same! As Maintenance Services Assistant you will:

  • Carry out general repairs and maintenance, keeping the facility running smoothly.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure buildings, equipment, and systems are safe, reliable, and well maintained.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests, troubleshoot issues, and prioritise urgent repairs to support residents and staff.
  • Assist when need to maintain outdoor areas and grounds, ensuring gardens, pathways, and external spaces are safe, tidy, and welcoming.
  • Monitor the overall condition of the facility, report hazards or larger repairs, maintain tools and records, and contribute to a safe working environment.

About You

You’ll thrive with us if you have:

  • Have a trade qualification or relevant maintenance experience
  • Practical experience in general maintenance or a similar hands-on role
  • Skilled in building maintenance and repairs
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and respond to urgent tasks
  • Sound understanding of Workplace Health & Safety requirements and safe work practices
  • Current driver’s licence
  • National Police Check & NDIS workers screening clearance (and relevant sector clearances as required)
  • Strong communication skills and a respectful, professional manner
