About the Role

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role. As our Care Manager, you will oversee the clinical and care operations of the facility, ensuring every resident receives safe, effective, and respectful care. Working in partnership with the Facility Manager and a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you will support residents, families, staff, and external partners by upholding the highest standards of care and fostering a positive, empowering environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coordinate, and oversee daily clinical and care services within the facility
  • Develop, implement, and regularly review individual care plans for residents
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and ongoing support to nursing and care staff
  • Ensure compliance with aged care standards, legislation, clinical governance, and accreditation requirements
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with residents, families, and allied health professionals
  • Monitor clinical indicators and drive continuous quality improvement across all care practices
  • Manage staffing needs, including rosters, performance, and staff development
  • Support and deliver staff education, training, and professional growth opportunities
  • Conduct audits, assessments, and reviews to ensure resident wellbeing and service excellence
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and the wider Respect Aged Care network to enhance service quality and promote holistic care

Essential Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with current AHPRA registration
  • Demonstrated experience in aged care or a similar clinical leadership role
  • Strong understanding of aged care standards, legislation, and clinical governance
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support clinical and care teams
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Commitment to person-centred care and resident wellbeing
  • Available to work full time, Monday to Friday

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience with accreditation processes and quality improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge of contemporary aged care reforms and sector changes
  • Proficiency in clinical software and digital care management systems
