Step into a leadership role where your influence truly matters. We’re seeking a strong and capable Nurse Unit Manager to lead our high care memory support unit, providing confident clinical leadership, clear direction, and a calm, compassionate presence in a complex care environment. This part-time position offers Thursday and Friday day shifts. You’ll lead by example, inspire and support a dedicated team, shape a positive and accountable care culture, and make a meaningful difference to the lives of residents who rely on consistency, dignity, and expert care.

No two days are the same! As Nurse Unit Manager you will:

  • Provide strong clinical and operational leadership to the high care memory support unit, ensuring safe, high-quality, person-centred care at all times.
  • Lead, support, and mentor nursing and care staff, fostering a positive, accountable, and engaged team culture.
  • Oversee day-to-day unit operations, including staffing oversight, clinical coordination, and effective use of resources.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant clinical standards, policies, and regulatory requirements, and actively manage clinical risk.
  • Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives, responding to incidents, audits, and feedback to enhance care outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with residents, families, multidisciplinary teams, and senior leadership to support consistent, compassionate care delivery.

About You

You’ll thrive with us if you have:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated experience in a nursing leadership or management role, preferably within a high-care or memory support environment.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams, including performance development and staff engagement.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and sound judgement, with a commitment to high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic care setting.
